In June, Apple announced that it plans to invest about US $334 million (about RMB 2.2 billion) to build a new plant in Taiwan's Zhuke Longtan Park for the production of MNI / micro LED display panels. According to the news in December, apple and crystal power maintain close cooperation, and the mini LED technology jointly developed by the two sides in the Longtan plant has entered the mass production stage. In June, Hongli Zhihui announced that it plans to invest in the construction of Hongli Mini / micro LED semiconductor display project in Guangzhou Huadu City, which will be carried out in two phases. It is planned to put 50 production lines into operation, and it is expected to produce 20000 sets of 75 inch TV backlight and 1000 square meters of P 0.9mm RGB direct display products per month.On December 16, the second phase of the project was officially signed, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan. It is estimated that the annual output value will reach 4 billion yuan after the project is completed. It is estimated that 160000 75 inch TV backlights and 10000 square meters of P 0.9mm RGB direct display products will be produced each month.

In August, Guoxing optoelectronics announced that it plans to invest no more than 1.9 billion yuan in the construction of Geely Industrial Park, focusing on the production of RGB small spacing, mini led, top led and other products, focusing on new intelligent display, intelligent lamp, intelligent home and UV sterilization. On December 15, the second phase project of Geely Industrial Park officially started.

In early September, San'an optoelectronics filed two patent infringement lawsuits against Huacan optoelectronics, involving the patent names of "nitride semiconductor light-emitting device and its manufacturing method" and "semiconductor light-emitting device and semiconductor light-emitting device".Sanan optoelectronics accused Huacan optoelectronics of infringing its related patents by manufacturing and selling a number of LED chip products, and demanded Huacan optoelectronics to compensate for the economic loss of 80 million yuan. In this regard, Huacan photoelectric said that there is no patent infringement in the related products.

On March 3, San'an semiconductor and TCL Huaxing announced that they had reached a strategic cooperation. The micro led joint laboratory jointly built by the two sides was officially established on June 7 to lay out the development of micro LED display technology. In October, TCL Huaxing launched a 4-inch am micro LED display screen based on igzo glass developed by the micro led joint laboratory, which is still a laboratory product.
